Both Lighting Milestones

Since the founding of Both Lighting, we have been both a pioneer and a driving force for innovation in the stage lighting industry, setting technical milestones and development benchmarks as a premium provider.

2011

Established our own brand "Both Lighting"

Both Lighting was born in 2011 with the vision of redefining portable illumination. From a modest workshop we forged our own brand identity, embedding reliability, color accuracy and user-centric design into every circuit board and lens.

2014

International Dept. was established

To carry our light beyond overseas markets, we founded the International Department, hand-picking multilingual engineers and lighting designers who could translate client dreams into photometric data.

2015

Entered battery-powered lighting R&D and manufacturing

We pivoted decisively into battery-powered fixtures, establishing an R&D cell dedicated to lithium-ion safety, wireless DMX and ultra-efficient LEDs. The gamble birthed the Freedom Series—our first wireless uplight.

2016

Shanghai PLS exhibition
Korea KOBA show

At Guangzhou GET Show we stunned crowds with a 360° immersive booth; Shanghai PLS witnessed our first IP65 battery PAR; and Korea’s KOBA show introduced K-DJ culture to silent, cable-free setups that ran 12 hours on a single charge.

Middle East PLS exhibition
PLASA London tested our fixtures under the strictest CE conditions; and the Middle East PLS revealed heat-proof batteries that thrived at 45 °C desert weddings.

2020

Set up overseas warehouses

Global lockdowns taught us that speed equals local stock. We opened overseas warehouses in Los Angeles, Bremen and Russia, cutting lead times from 45 days to 48 hours. Same-day replacement parts and instant demo units became our new competitive edge.

2023

Purchased factory buildings

We invested in our roots, purchasing 5000 m² of modern factory buildings. Vertical integration slashed costs and accelerated innovation cycles.

2024

Ranked No.1 in the US DJ lighting markets

Data confirmed what clients already knew: Both Lighting ranked #1 in battery-powered fixture sales to the U.S. wedding and DJ markets. Over 18,000 units shipped monthly, powered by a reputation for color consistency and 24-hour tech support that treats every gig like a Super Bowl.

2025

Moved to new factory

We moved into a state-of-the-art 5,000 m² campus with 30 production lines. Capacity leapt to 50,000 fixtures per month, while an attached training academy ensures the next generation of lighting artists learns on the very tools they’ll use worldwide.

Both Lighting has officially relocated to a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing campus in May 2025. Spanning 5000 m² in JD Intelligent Industrial Park, Guangzhou.

The move centralises R D, prototyping and full-scale assembly under one roof, cutting lead times by 30 % and allowing same-day design tweaks. A ribbon-cutting on 12 May, partners from all regions, who toured the expanded lab and took part in the first live demo of our lighting show.The new plant positions Both Lighting to meet surging global demand while upholding the quality and innovation our partners expect.
